Going to partake in the Olympic events over in London? Why not do it via vespa?!
“Betta Getta Vespa.. The Games are Coming!”
This little cute video has been making its way around the facebook vespa world early today and after watching it, I wanted to share it here with you all. The style is in the vain is a cartoonish Mad Men and has a touch of vintage flare: a perfect way to celebrate the vespa, if I do say so myself! Make sure to watch it, if you adore vespa but have yet “joined the dark side” and become an owner.
Sad UPDATE: They made the video private. I hope you were able to view it before it was taken down.
This video is no longer available, but if you click the link below you can see a new version of it!
New, Happy UPDATE: The video is back, with a slight name change! A must see for us Vespa lovers:
Even the Queen makes a cameo appearance,

It is the perfect visual explanation of why owning a vespa in large cities makes more sense than not. (Remember that they drive on the opposite side of the road in England, so if you are not used to that style of driving best not to drive in a city as immense and gridlocked as London can be.) Cities are the perfect place for someone who wants a little more independence then they would have using public transportation (-yay for public transportation, by the way!). I don’t think I would ever be brave enough to drive in London, vespa or otherwise, as walking there with the new traffic laws gets me in to a lot of trouble anyways. But for the locals, a vespa would certainly help ease some tension created by living in such a cramped (albeit beautiful) city.
Also! In new news from the US Vespa Co., they are having a great deal now for all of those thinking already about buying a new LX 50: free gas for a year! Pretty great deal, eh? Of course, they have a bit of reading in the fine print (a years worth of gas equals up to $150.00 gift card) that you need to look over and read through.
If all that jives well for you and you were already thinking about it (and live in the states!), yalla! You won’t regret it. Click this link, for further information about this deal over at the official vespa site.
I, being the speed demon-Aries that I am, like a little more power and believe that the next vespa I buy will be one of the 300 models. Either buy one of those models or go all out for a restored beauty, because a classic vespa is where it is at! Here is a good questions for y’all:
What model would you be interested in buying or riding, if you were to become an owner? Be sure to include why you choose that particular model!
Let me know in the comments below, as I’d like to see what everyone else would want to ride if they could have their pick-be it realistic or just dreamin’.
Have a great week, everyone!
